The Homophobes Name Me and This is What I Think of It (Also let's Talk about Eugene's video)
First off, congratulations to Eugene for coming out.
We know that in this world coming out can sometimes be a life or death situation and to be comfortable enough so as to say it in a public platform such as YouTube, its just... No words. Really.

So there was a reply to a comment in said video and I commented. And yeah I had a row a few people. And I deleted my comments. You know, to troll them when they tried to use my word against myself.
I'd be like "What comment?" as if I didn't say anything. And one person called me "mentally ill" and I laughed like okay, whatever.
Also using mental illness as an insult does not help with the stigma with mental illness so I'd rather that person actually talk to who are ACTUALLY "mentally ill".
If your idea of mentally ill is people who are trolling you and who disagree with you then you are going to get a treat when you meet those who are actually "mentally ill" and by the way, mental health is not something to be made fun of or to make light of.
People who are mentally ill, though not all but some, can have suicidal thoughts and take their own lives. There are people with mental health issues who are going through and suffering a lot. To say this, it's like "Really?"
So you BEST don't use mental illness as a way to insult others.
And another person called me a fag. And I know this is supposed to be an insult but I don't view it as an insult. Now hear me out, I wanted to know what this insult truly means definition wise. So I googled it and :
And I was like, "Oh are you calling me a hard worker~? Why thank you. I do work hard for things"
And a different person called me a "cunt" which I believe is basically female genitalia so I was like yeah. I'm a woman. I got one. Again, this wasn't really an insult. That word was like eh. It's a women's body part, so why should I find it insulting? Same with dick. A word that is a (man's) body part that is also used as an insult.
If you find a body part insulting or use it as an insult then you have issues.
I mentioned I was an ally because they assumed I was queer for some reason. And they're like "When did they hire an angry person to be an ally?" which is the most stupidest thing I have ever heard. I'm not being paid to be an ally. I'm NOT earning ANY MONEY by standing up for people who are being hurt or abused. I'm not getting any gain from this.

This is a CHOICE I made. Just like you CHOOSE to be homophobic and you CHOOSE to attack.
So don't give me that.
I'll always be on the bright side of things. I ain't got time for negativity. If you want to waste your time being negative and spreading hate. Dude that's YOUR choice. I don't care what you do with your life.
But I am choosing what to do with my life and I choose positivity and love. Even if people don't agree with me or like me.
And one of them was like "Queer and asian. The enemy" or something like that. And I was like bro, the inly enemies you haves are the ones you make yourself. Okay? You do not know Eugene personally, he did NOT do anything to you, just came out as gay, which you personally hate. And about the asian thing, if they're the enemy, why does your fucking username contain Chinese characters? It doesn't add up.

And those people were like are you mad? Why are you mad? Like bro, if I am mad what about you homophobes?
Wasting your time writing a hate comment on a video which has a topic you obviously don't like? You're finding a need to spread hate a look down on people who don't agree with you.
Anyways, whatever comment they throw at me, doesn't really affect me. Like I've heard all of the insults trying to be insulting but in reality aren't really insulting to me so it doesn't count as an insult. Try harder homophobes, but I'd doubt you'd succeed.
Like if I, a straight person, gets affected by comments like this that try to be insulting, what more the actual LGBTQ people who get called these things on a daily basis, everyday, IN REAL LIFE. In person. So I dont really have a right to complain.

Anyways, let's talk about Eugene's video! I have A LOT to say.
So, his video is an interpretive dance. It basically tells of the struggles that not only Eugene, but also the LGBT community in general.
From family members and acceptance to the physical abuse, everything is portrayed beautifully in this interpretative dance.
I feel like the music, Odesza's A Moment Apart, really brought out that feeling of struggle.
A+
Also to the people who called me these names, you know who you are. If you've read this all the way at the bottom :
Sorry, you didn't insult me. At all.
If you're asking why I wrote this, it's to share my life experiences. This blog is called Travelling, Adventuring, ANECDOTES and Everything in Between after all
